The Ultrabio Technologies, Inc., a spin off Start-Up Company from the University of Washington (UW), has licensed from UW an innovative and Ultrasensitive PCR with significantly improved sensitivity and specificity as compared to those commercially available or to those reported in a format with commercial potential. The Ultrabio Technologies, Inc. aims to use this new technology to develop Ultra PCR assays and kits for precision quantification of low levels of viruses and cancer genes that currently available assays fail to do.
Two Scientist positions are available for molecular diagnostics and detection programs operating in a highly productive environment. Scientist 1 (level I) will perform technical procedures in a virology laboratory including but not limited to Ultra PCR, real-time PCR, qPCR, RT-qPCR, and DNA and RNA extractions on biological samples including but not limited to blood plasma, blood cells and tissue, and will report the results and organize documents and keep records. He/she will communicate with our side collaborators to develop new projects and sell scientific products. Scientist 2 (level II) will lead the development of new molecular assays including but not limited to Ultra PCR and real-time PCR that will be used to quantitate DNA and RNA of virus and cancer genes, and work with outsider scientists in academy and industry to develop collaborative project and sell scientific products.
Experience with Ultra PCR, real-time PCR, qPCR, RT-qPCR, droplet digital PCR and fluent in both English and Chinese preferred. The candidates must have a Bachelor or Master or equivalent degree. Jobs will remain open until filled. The salary is commensurate to experience with excellent benefits.
