How will you make an impact?
As part of an innovative Product Development team, you will contribute to new product initiatives for Ion Torrent DNA sequencing technology. This technology is rapidly changing the speed and scalability of DNA sequencing for research and clinical science.
What will you do?
• Work within a team of scientists to perform integration, verification, and validation testing of new products (instruments, consumables, software) to support Ion Torrent product development
• Apply molecular biology laboratory skills for the proper execution of Ion Torrent DNA sequencing, collect and analyze data, and present results
• Execute experiments, perform statistical analysis, interpret results, and meticulously document and communicate are important aspects of this role

How will you get here?
Education
B.S. in Molecular Biology, Chemistry or similar scientific discipline
Experience
• 3+ years of experience in molecular biology industry; experience in DNA sequencing is desired
• Hands on experience in nucleic acid analysis including PCR amplification and purification
• Experience in optimization of reagents and protocols
• Strong proficiency in statistical analysis of data sets
• Prior experience in presenting scientific data
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
• Excellent organizational, record keeping and communication skills
• Strong work ethic to generate high quality data in a fast-paced, collaborative environment is necessary
• Ability to work independently and in coordination with a team of scientists
• Exude critical thinking skills, confidence, drive for achievement, and enthusiasm for the success the team
