Job Description

Classification of genetic variants in human cancer-related genes is a vital component of operations at Myriad Genetic Laboratories, a world leader in clinical genetic testing. We are seeking one full time Scientist to evaluate both external and internal data sources relevant to the classification of variants in cancer susceptibility genes and to contribute significantly to the classification of genetic variants.


Evaluating scientific literature as it pertains to the classification of variants.

Preparing and presenting both external and internal data to an expert committee to classify variants.

Monitoring and annotating both internal and external software and databases.

This individual will operate with a level of autonomy and responsibility commensurate with experience and initiative.

PhD related to the biological sciences

Professional and detail oriented

Proficient with Windows, Word and Excel

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Physical and Mental requirements:

Lifting up to 20lbs, Carrying, Repetitive Motion, Near Acuity, Color Determination, Depth Perception
