Job Description

Use bio-layer interferometry technology equipped Fortebio Octet systems to measure protein titer of clones to support lead discovery. Operate, troubleshoot and maintain automated enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay system consisting of the following components: robotic arm, plate washer, liquid handler, stackers and spectrophotometer used for high-throughput screening of antibodies for drug discovery. Use overlord scheduling software that controls the integrated robotics. Perform virus purification. Purify Proteins using multi-parallel high throughput protein A /Nickel/multi-lectin affinity purification systems like AKTA Express and Gilson.Use protein characterization techniques like reversed phase high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), size exclusion chromatography and western blotting. Perform cloning and expression of protein in Bacteria and Mammalian system. Use high-throughput instruments like Genetix QpiX2 colony picker, Tecan liquid handler and sample preparation systems. Perform Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay Data analysis using Excel and DNA Sequence Analysis using Vector NTI. Document findings using E-workbook suite. Provide weekly updates and presentations. Requirements: 

Candidate must have a Master's degree in Biology, Biotechnology, or Microbiology and two years of experience in high-throughput screening, protein purification and characterization. Must have experience in: using bio-layer interferometry technology equipped Fortebio Octet systems to measure protein titers; operating, troubleshooting and maintenance of automated enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay system consisting of: robotic arm, plate washer, liquid handler, stackers and spectrophotometer; scheduling software that controls the integrated robotics; virus purification; using multi-parallel high throughput protein A/Nickel/multi-lectin affinity protein purification systems and protein characterization techniques like reversed phase high performance liquid chromatography, size exclusion chromatography ,western blotting; using high-throughput instruments like Genetix QpiX2 colony picker, liquid handler and sample preparation systems.
