Job Description

Industry leading life sciences company seeks a Sales Rep to sell the company's line of proteomic instruments and supplies.  The Sale Rep will be based in Dallas and manage a territory that includes Northern Texas, Missouri, Louisiana, Mississippi and Oklahoma with expected 50% travel.  The Sales Rep will sell products that include:

  • Gel/ Blot imaging systems
  • Multi-plex array platforms
  • Chromatography systems
  • Consumables and reagents for use with these systems

A majority of sales are to research laboratories in government and academic institutions.  

  • Bachelor's degree in a life sciences discipline
  • 3+ years sales experience, with experience selling to government and academic institutions
  • A track record of accomplishment in selling similar life sciences products
  • Strong sales communications skills; oral, written, and presentation
  • A strong scientific - technical background with the ability to work effectively with scientific leaders
  • Experience selling capital equipment 
  • Hands on lab experience strongly preferred
  • Capital equipment sales experience
  • A background in proteomics, either academic or professional
