The BCL is one of eight core labs and major facilities supporting academic research at KAUST. We specialize in molecular and cellular research platforms for functional genomics, sequencing, protein expression, proteomics, cell sorting and bioinformatic data management. We also offer services to external industry partners as we are striving to become the leading provider of laboratory-based chemical and biological analyses across the Middle East. 
Key responsibilities include: - Work in a team of scientists to conduct both routine and custom research-grade analyses - Work with experienced analysts to use methods involving gel electrophoresis, spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, liquid chromatography, and other techniques - Prepare samples for analysis - Retrieve and compile data - Exhibit the highest degree of reliability and accuracy to assure quality results - Perform routine laboratory duties and maintenance To be successful within this role you must have: - A MSc degree or above in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, or a related field - Experience in biology, biochemistry or similar lab environments - The desire to work in a team dedicated to achieving highest quality results - Experience in protein identification, quantification (label-free, iTRAQ, TMT), PTM study and data analysis - Experience in method development and validation for targeted proteomics workflow - Experience in mass spectrometry (Sciex TripleTOF, Thermo LTQ-Orbitrap) - Preferably: experience with programing skills In addition to world-class facilities and living conditions, you will be remunerated with a highly competitive package and the opportunity to work within an ambitious and growing university.
