Grade 7: Salary in the range £30,434 - £34,233 p.a.

Applications are invited for the position of Research Scientist and Project Manager in Genomics of Immunity. You will join an exciting new research programme to understand pathogenesis and improve treatment of patients with ankylosing spondylitis (AS) using an integrated functional immunogenomics approach. This research will build on recent success in genome-wide association studies of AS to now fine-map associations and establish function for disease associated genetic variants in a disease context, defining mechanistic links with particular gene(s) and pathways that can be taken forward as potential drug targets.

We are seeking an exceptional individual, who is motivated to excel in both wet lab genomic research at the bench and in facilitating project delivery. You will have a PhD in genetics, biochemistry, molecular biology or a related field, or evidence of substantial relevant expertise and laboratory management experience.
