The Tuveson Laboratory is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic lab manager for an immediate, full-time position at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (CSHL).
The Tuveson Laboratory has led the field in developing mouse and cell culture models of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, and we are interested in using those models to uncover biological pathways that play a role in pancreatic cancer progression and in applying the knowledge from these studies to design novel therapies for this disease.
The successful candidate will oversee daily operations in the laboratory, helping to support the success of all the members of the lab. The candidate will assist in arranging equipment purchases, provide user training on lab equipment, maintain lab equipment, manage assignment of laboratory spaces, ensure compliance with laboratory and government rules, organize and maintain inventories of laboratory reagents, manage the purchasing and stocking of consumables and lab reagents, help to manage a database of our mouse colonies, manage external requests to share reagents, assist in training students, assist in the management of laboratory projects, and aid in performing basic bench work as needed. The candidate will also be responsible for performing basic cell culture to maintain cell stocks.
