Job Description

Primary Duties and Responsibilities         

Achieving sales targets within assigned region which includes Research Institutions, Academic Labs, Government, Pharmaceutical and Biotech accounts

Trains and manages Territory Managers (TM) and Inside Sales Reps (ISR) for the assigned region

Provide pertinent market and competitive information to the organization

Provides timely communication and follow-up to customers ensuring for complete customer satisfaction and that customer needs are met directly and through employees

Develops and implements short and long-range strategies for account and product expansion

Collaborates with TM/ISR on presentations, product demonstrations, and on-site customer visits

Plans and organizes sales meetings

Attends trade and vendor shows and meetings as required


General Duties and Responsibilities         

Demonstrates advanced level of specialized knowledge, with record of sales success; expert in the field

Exhibits knowledge of professional ethics, laws, and regulations

Plans, develops, implements, and analyzes results of sales strategies and tactics to achieve planned revenue and budget objectives

Establishes productive relationships with coworkers and customers to accomplish team objective

Clearly communicates technical details with colleagues and customers

Additional duties as assigned

Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills

Ability to travel 70% overnight is required



3+ years of sales management experience at a life sciences company

5+ years experience in direct sales at a life sciences company

Academic training and bench experience in molecular biology, cell biology or equivalent



BS, MS, PhD. in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology or related Life Science
