Job Description

We are currently growing our scientific team, and we are seeking an experienced scientist with strong molecular biology skills and a demonstrated interest in global health and/or infectious disease. Our new team member will work closely with Aldatu’s Chief Science Officer to design and execute experiments related to the development and validation testing of PANDAA™-based diagnostic products.

Primary Job Duties:

  • Optimization and validation of PANDAA design for pipeline HIV drug resistance testing products in development. These duties will involve close collaboration with the Chief Science Officer and extensive qPCR reagent design testing.
  • Performance validation testing of product prototypes, following established FDA/CLSI criteria for in vitro HIV drug resistance genotyping and quantitative assays. These duties will involve extensive qPCR analysis, as well as PCR amplification/sequencing, next generation sequencing library preparation, and sequence assembly/editing.
  • Quality control of Aldatu's proficiency panel of HIV-1 infectious molecular clones. These duties will involve coordination with external contract research organizations, and quality analysis of DNA/RNA purified from spiked whole blood, plasma, and dried blood spots.
