Job Description

Working as a member of the team responsible for the development and production of New England Biolabs (NEB) Next Generation Sequencing product line (NEBNext), this individual will be focused on coordinating and supporting all stages of the transition of new products from development to product release and technical support.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform stringent quality control assays on all components of NEBNext products.

  • Prepare formulations of NEBNext products for next generation sequencing sample preparation.

  • Troubleshoot and plan experiments.

  • Adhere to protocols and maintain proper documentation.

  • Assist in the development of new QC assays.

  • Coordinate and assist in the production and assembly of custom orders.

  • Track and maintain stocked inventory of standard OTC products.

  • Assist customers with technical inquiries about NEBNext products.


Required Qualifications/ Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in molecular biology or related field.

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the life science industry; next generation sequencing experience preferred.

  • Ability to independently design and execute experiments, as well as analyze and interpret data.

  • Have "good hands" with proven bench skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver technical presentations.

  • Strong ability to multi-task and perform effectively under pressure.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Capable of self-management within a fast-paced team framework.

  • Goal and deadline oriented with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Have a strong work ethic, emphasizing both efficiency and quality of work.
