Job Description
  • Prepares material requirements plan and coordinates with supply chain department to ensure timely delivery of production materials.
  • Supports intradepartmental requests for materials, including verifying availability and issuing from inventory management system.
  • Creates and updates bills of materials and routers to ensure accuracy.
  • Monitors inventory levels and coordinates restocking of common reagents.
  • Submits purchase requisitions and online orders for raw materials.
  • Generates work orders and production paperwork.
  • Analyzes planned labor hours based on historical data.
  • Participates in lean manufacturing/Kaizen events for process improvement.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Bachelors degree in a related field from an accredited four-year college or university, 1-2 years
production planning experience; or a combination of educational and applicable work experience.
Knowledge of production and inventory control principles (MRP, reorder points).

Preferable Skills and Attributes:

  • Skilled in the use of software programs such as Microsoft Office and database management programs
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables
  • Lean manufacturing experience
  • APICS training
  • Detail oriented and highly organized
  • Ability to balance concurrent and sometimes competing demands to minimize supply interruptions
  • Effective communication skills
  • Personable and has a positive attitude
  • Reliable attendance
