Job Description

ArcherDX is looking for an outstanding individual to join its technical operations and supply chain team. The candidate should have a strong knowledge of assays used to measure key enzymatic activities, as well as standard protein characterization assays. This role will be responsible for the documentation and release of transfer methods to associates for routine execution and collaborate with these partners to drive deployment of products.

  • Extensive hands on experience with methods and theory for the physical and biochemical characterization of proteins, through SDS PAGE, protein assays, activity assays, mass spectroscopy, NanoDrop, and immunoblotting.
  • Thorough knowledge of the theory of protein purification, including the basis of chromatography and other downstream techniques.
  • Co-ordinate certain test programs, track data and report on the trends and sources of variability.  These will include compiling batch to batch QC data, routine functional tests and stability studies.
  • Work as part of a scientific team and participate in team meetings and initiatives.
  • Experience converting assay protocols into SOPs.
  • Understanding of how to work in a regulated environment (i.e. ISO).
  • Demonstrated experience working with teams across multiple functions.
  • Detail oriented, proactive, works independently, works well with others.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Required Skills and Background

  • Ph.D. in biochemistry, protein biochemistry, biochemical engineering, or related field

Desired Skills and Background

  • 2 to 10 years of industry experience in enzymatic assay or related biochemistry areas
  • Previous Supply Chain/Quality support under ISO 13485 or 21CFR820
