Responsibilities: • Analyze market trends in Synthetic Biology and characterize the competitive landscape to identify target markets and develop lead generation strategies for the GENEWIZ Gene Synthesis service line• Identify opportunities for increasing customer and business value through new Synthetic Biology, Gene Synthesis, and Protein Engineering services or service differentiation by representing the voice of the customer • Evaluate and communicate competitive threats, strengths and weaknesses, and fine-tune service offerings and forecasts accordingly • Work with business leaders and stakeholders to define pricing strategy, service positioning and differentiation within the Gene Synthesis, Synthetic Biology, and Protein Engineering markets• Support enterprise and business unit planning and forecasting • Work with marketing communications to develop content and strategies for outbound communication and sales collateral for all GENEWIZ synthetic biology products and services.• Develop and implement company-wide go-to-market plans for new services and work with all departments to execute    


Qualifications: • Master’s Degree in Business or Life Sciences required • Ph.D. in Business or Life Sciences preferred • 2+ years of experience in academia,  biotech or pharmaceutical company with focus on synthetic biology, gene synthesis, protein engineering, marketing, product management or market research required • 4-6+ years of experience in academia, biotech or pharmaceutical company with focus on synthetic biology, gene synthesis, protein engineering, marketing, product management or market research biotech or pharmaceutical company required with focus on marketing, product management or market research preferred. • The ideal candidate will possess a strong academic research background in synthetic biology, protein engineering, or gene synthesis, as well as 2+ years of experience in marketing, product management, or market research in a biotech or pharmaceutical industry setting. • Experience developing and presenting product marketing materials required strongly preferred• Experience in customer-facing position within the biotechnology or science industry preferred• Must have strong  Uunderstanding of genomics, sequencingsynthetic biology, gene synthesis, molecular biology products and services • Demonstrated proficiency in marketing or product management including participating in market analysis, planning and new product development • Excellent interpersonal skills; both verbal and written are essential • Relocation assistance available for the right candidate Visit our Careers page at to view our open positions and apply. Connect with us on LinkedIn and Twitter @GENEWIZ
