Dr. Tuuli Lappalainen’s research group is looking for a postdoctoral researcher to work on projects in computational genetics and functional genomics.
The Lappalainen Lab (http://tllab.org) studies genetic variation in human populations affecting molecular, cellular, and high-level traits and diseases. We use both computational and experimental methods to study these questions, with an interdisciplinary integration of approaches from computational genetics, population genetics, functional genomics, and molecular genetics. Our particular focus is on integration of large-scale genome and transcriptome sequencing data sets. We are part of several large consortia, including GTEx and MoTrPAC.
We are looking for a computational postdoc to join our team (currently 8 people). Possible projects include, but are not limited to, genetic and environmental interactions on functional effects of genetic variants, methods development to integrate genetic data with molecular and high-level phenotype data sets, and population genetics of regulatory variation in humans.
