Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (CSHL) invites applications for the position of Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Chemical Biology to work on a project involving the synthesis of antisense oligonucleotides (ASOs). You will be part of a collaborative research effort between the laboratories of Professor Mike Wigler and Professor John E. Moses and based in the new $75 million Center for Therapeutic Research (CTR).
The exciting research project will involve the design, synthesis, and biological evaluation of a series of novel cell penetrating ASOs for targeting pathogens and treating disorders of gene expression.
We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced, and interactive synthetic chemist to join the team. You will have the ability to grow with the organization and make essential contributions to the collaborative research environment. The ideal candidate must have synthetic chemistry expertise, with proven experience in synthesis of peptide–, peptide nucleic acid–, and/or nucleic acid synthesis.
You will also need to be skilled in protein and nucleic acid purification and characterization. You will also be adept with analytical techniques, NMR, HPLC, and Mass Spectrometry.
