NIH-funded postdoctoral position available in the laboratory of Dr. Linda Giudice to study stem cell populations in human endometrium, the mechanisms regulating their self renewal and differentiation, and their role in endometrial function and disease. The successful candidate will use cutting-edge cell/molecular biology and bioinformatics approaches in these studies, including cell/molecular and bioinformatics methods for the study of DNA methylation, histone modifications, gene expression, and their interactions and impact on cellular/biological function. The postdoctoral candidate must have a Ph.D. degree in the biological sciences with training/experience in epigenetics/genomics involving advanced computational analyses, as well as corresponding cell/molecular biology bench skills. Preference will be given to candidates with a strong record in molecular techniques for studying histone modifications (ChIP, ChIP-chip, ChIP-seq) and relevant bionformatics. Experience in reproductive biology, stem cell biology, and cell culture are a plus. The successful candidate will have independent critical thinking ability in the design and interpretation of experiments, good command of the relevant scientific literature, and good written and oral communication skills.
