The Biostatistics and Biomathematics Program at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center's Division of Public Health Sciences is recruiting a post-doctoral research fellow in Dr. Li Hsu's group (http://www.fredhutch.org/en/labs/profiles/hsu-li.html). Fellow will engage in both methodological and collaborative research in the analysis and integration of high dimensional genetics and genomics data with the aim of elucidating the role of genetic and environmental interplay in disease development. Fellow will have opportunities in participating large collaborative genetic epidemiologic studies with rich data on genome-wide genotypes, tumor sequencing and environmental risk factors.
Applicants should have Ph.D. or equivalent advanced degree in statistics or biostatistics or other quantitative areas. Strong theoretical, computational, and communication skills are desired. In particular, a successful candidate should be able to write efficient programs in R and/or C. The position is available immediately and for up to two years.
