Job Description

PhD Cell Biology R&D Manager

Join a global company which is a true leader making meaningful and life-saving advances in the cell biology / oncology / immunotherapy arena. As project manager, your input will contribute tremendously to the growing and remarkable field of personalized medicine.

You will be directing the scalable manufacturing processes required for growing T-cells in therapeutic quantities as part of the larger picture of personalized medicine.


Supervising the optimization of processes involved in up- and down-stream manufacturing and scalability.

Be aware of, and incorporate new research and industry processes into cell manufacturing.

Data analysis, SOP revision, liaising with team and supervisor.




PhD in Immunology, Oncology, Biomedical Engineering, related.

Able to take a lead position in the scaling up of automated human cell production.

This is a very senior position for candidates with min 3 to 10 years’ experience post PhD.

Experience in industry, being client-facing, understanding business development a great asset.

Project management experience and potential for growth in this area.

Strong background in CAR-T cell culture, bioreactors, and immunotherapy.

Experience with ELISAs, flow cytometry, and sterile techniques.

Must be willing to live in Eastern Ontario.
