Job Description

Van Andel Research Institute’s Haab Laboratory, led by Brian Haab, Ph.D. is seeking to hire either a Postdoctoral Researcher or a Research Associate. 


The Haab Laboratory works to enable the more accurate diagnosis and prognosis of pancreatic cancer. The laboratory develops new approaches to the molecular characterization of subtypes of pancreatic cancer and translates the information into clinical tests. Glycobiology is a major focus. The position is available immediately. 

 

The Project:

The project involves developing and applying new methods to characterize and measure protein glycoforms in clinical samples; determining relationships between molecular and clinical information; developing and applying in vivo and in vitro assays for functional analysis; and working with many collaborators.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • A Ph.D. (or equivalent degree) with experience and publications in the fields of molecular biology and/or analytical chemistry and/or scientific computing and programming.
