Job Description

The Reporting and Packaging Supervisor leads a team responsible for initiating and facilitating the reporting of results, following diagnostic genetic testing.


Myriad Genetic Laboratories performs high-throughput genetic testing. The environment is fast-paced, collaborative and dynamic.

The Supervisor’s time is split between production activities and management responsibilities.


Production Support:

  • Prepares patient records and test results for clinical review
  • Assembles report packages and initiates delivery to customers
  • Provides advice and assistance to staff and establishes best practices
  • Creates, maintains and updates procedures and training to ensure quality and regulatory compliance
  • Establishes, maintains and reports system performance metrics
  • Works with other teams to coordinate efforts and identify and resolve complex problems/issues
  • Documents non-conformance and deviations
  • Leads in the design and installation of local improvements to processes and software
  • Collaborates across departments to improve system performance and drive corporate initiatives



  • Oversees day-to-day operations and provides direct supervision to staff
  • Establishes team priorities and objectives in alignment with department goals
  • Develops long and short range strategic plans to ensure future success
  • Manages employee schedules and shifts and approves leave
  • Assists employees in setting goals and measuring progress
  • Conducts performance evaluations and recommends merit increases/promotions
  • Supports and assists employees with career development
  • Provides employees with opportunities for learning and advancement of skills
  • Interviews, recommends and oversees onboarding of new hires
  • Bachelor’s degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training
  • Leadership experience and/or experience in healthcare or related setting preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong interpersonal skills to motivate and direct others
  • Ability to lead change and innovation
  • Ability to manage projects independently
  • Excellent organization, communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong computer skills
