We are seeking an Operating Software Development Manager to join our Agilent Cross Lab Group!

Want to go further in Research & Development? Here's where you take the next step, working with the pioneering teams taking Agilent's world-leading products from the drawing board to the real world. As the successful candidate for this software development manager position, you will join an existing team in a key position working on developing software platforms and product technologies! You will have a broad range of software development and management knowledge including managing both onshore and offshore software engineering teams. The team you will be leading will include both offshore developers in India (4-7) as well as US & European based developers (3-6).

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar subject area or equivalent.
  • 5+ years leading design teams in successful software product development
  • Management and design experience in leading Cloud-based development within an AWS environment. AWS Cloud services database development experience with Lambda processing and S3 data file stores.
  • Web-based portal as well Microsoft services development management and design experience with C#, Java, JavaScript, Angular, and back end database design with ETL services and Microsoft SSIS.
  • Design lead experience with teams using Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and other life cycle processes
  • Previous work experience leading design teams, working with web-based development, Java & C#, BI dashboards, database, and ETL design. A solid understanding of Amazon cloud services software development is a strong plus.
  • Strong communication and teamwork with product marketing, product support, quality, and our service delivery channels will be key factors for success in this position.
