Job Description

Sema4 is seeking an Oncology; New Solution Launch Director (aka Solution Ninja)  to manage and navigate the end to end development for approved oncology solutions.  In this role, you will be primarily responsible for working closely with solution owners and across the organization with research, lab, sales, marketing, digital, operations and business development to develop and execute against a plan that will deliver new solutions to market.  You will serve as the single point for new solutions and be responsible for leading cross-functionally to deliver against the plan.  Your success will be measured by the successful launch of new solutions and program enhancements for existing solutions.

Job Description

 

  • Develops a robust plan in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders to bring solutions to market
  • Manages the end to end development of all solutions and executes against the plan including as it relates to schedule, cost, scope and quality
  • Develops playbook for how we bring new solutions to market including, identifying key metrics and KPIs
  • Serves as the single point of contact for the status of each new solution pre-market launch and for a period of time post launch
  • Provides leadership to cross-functional teams, including on-going refinement and alignment of best practices, compliance, and inflight program health checks
  • Sets priorities and milestones to meet strategic objectives around the program, as well as the formulation
  • Partners with stakeholders to identify both strategic and tactical initiatives and able to assist with how best to tackle potential roadblocks
  • Establishes and clearly communicates the program strategies and progress to key stakeholders
  • Anticipates any impediments that may arise during the delivery of the program and ensures that appropriate mitigation actions are undertaken
  • Leverages experience to ensure strong program planning as a servant leader
  • Discovers and proactively helps the team to manage issues, dependencies, and risks to program plans, and acts as the primary point of escalation within Technology to resolve issues as necessary
  • Builds collaborative relationships at all levels
  • Participates in the engagement of delivery and/or support teams, negotiating where necessary to resolve resourcing conflicts that may arise due to availability or skill

 

Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science (minimum)  MBA preferred
  • 6 + years of working in Program Management or Project Management role
  • Management consulting experience a plus
  • Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful solution throughout its lifecycle
  • Domain expertise in oncology; genetic testing specifically a plus
  • Training and solid technical background in the oncology research, lab, pharmaceutical, or curation space
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job
  • Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skill
