Job Description

We are seeking an energetic Research Grade mRNA Biomanufacturing Operator II to join our team to be responsible for the tasks associated with the production of plasmid DNA, mRNA, and other products as assigned. As an mRNA Biomanufacturing Operator, you thrive working in  a lab setting, have a passion for solving problems, and know how to manage time and tasks in a fast-paced, changing environment. Your top priority is to perform various manufacturing tasks in accordance with Aldevron Standard Operating Procedures. Other duties include the execution of RG projects including transformation, subculture, cell banking, and Diafiltration. You are a team player who can work well on your own and can adapt to changing priorities. 

About the Role:

In this role, you will be responsible for documentation of production activities on the Aldevron Internal Database, plan and submit inventory requisitions, serve as a qualified trainer for new employees and execute RG projects with either upstream or downstream tasks and all special considerations associated. In this role you will also understand and execute activities in association with mRNA production. 

About You:

  • Knowledge of molecular biology and or microbiology
  • 12-24 months of previous lab experience
  • Knowledge of basic math concepts such as arithmetic, ratios, proportions, and conversions
  • Ability to work cross-departmentally


  • A high school diploma
  • Associate's Degree or higher in Life Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Biotech) preferred
