Job Description

Public-Private Partnership (PPP) between ABL France, Alphabio et le laboratoire de Virologie du CHU de Grenoble (UVHCI : UMI 3265 UJF-CNRS-EMBL). This partnership has the goal to develop new methods for next generation sequencing for new commercial molecular tests in virology.

The job is based in Grenoble, at the University Hospital, CHU de Grenoble, under Dr Sylvie Larrat's management (MCU-PH).



The technical lead will insure the design and the validation of new molecular testing related to extraction, amplification and sequencing, especially for next generation sequencing. 

The candidate will process alone or with colleagues the validation on various sequencing platforms.

The candidate will work closely with ABL and Alphabio teams, and insure the work done comply with the procedures of these companies.

The candidate will insure knowledge and know-how transfer to ABL and Alphabio about the developed tests and methods. 

The candidate will travel for short term missions.

How to Apply

High-level knowledge and skills in molecular biology

Experience in virology is a plus

Experience in experiemental work in a secured lab environment

Understand next generation sequencing and if possible a first experience on NGS, especially on Illumina technology

Have statistical skills to analyse results 

Follow ethics and regulatory environment related to experimental work, data confidentiality and biology safety processes and regulations

English is required for technical terms related to molecular biology. Speaking French and English is a plus

At least 3 years experience in molecular biology

ABL develops software and reagents for infectious diseases. ABL is based in Luxembourg (headquarters), France, Spain and South Africa.
