Job Description

We are helping our client, a profitable, innovative biopharmaceutical company, find a leader in modern genetic manipulation techniques to establish cutting edge molecular approaches, in conjunction with more traditional pharmacological approaches, to create new therapeutics to treat disease and disfunction.  The ideal candidate will be someone who is a forward thinker—someone who can imagine new applications of emerging technologies, who can inform and educate varied audiences  as well as direct a handful of scientists in creative experimental applications. Want to stay on top of current molecular and genetic technologies, strategize how to apply them to therapeutic applications, and have a lab to test your hypotheses?   • Ph.D. in Genetics, Molecular Biology or related field with minimum 5 years experience in a corporate setting or 10+ years in academia
  • Proven record and expertise in molecular biology, with strong skills in state of the art techniques of gene editing, non-coding RNA-mediated gene regulation and NGS.
  • Successful track record managing research groups, including Ph.D. and BS/MS scientists
  • Experience interfacing with internal and external stakeholders to execute research programs and deliver results 
  • Demonstrated ability to collect, review and analyze data from internal team and external collaborators and present results to key internal and external stakeholders
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in managing research projects in a corporate setting
  • Deductive reasoning and critical thinking is a must 

Plus factors
Experience in gene delivery and/or gene therapy 
Experience with advancing product candidates to IND submission is a plus

Must be currently residing in N. America with either approved US work authorization for a for-profit company or be TN1 visa eligible.
