Leverage medical-scientific knowledge, clinical expertise, and professional relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOL s) and Practice Leaders (PL s) on a continuum of advocacy for CSL products. Be the expert in presenting, training and educating stakeholders in the use of our products. Facilitate investigator initiated trials and contribute medical perspective with regard to brand planning and support with authors of journal articles/studies.


-Leads efforts in recognizing, identifying, cultivating, and integrating KOL relationships in specific therapeutic areas of interest to US Commercial Operations. Identifies opportunities for scientific growth and medical evidence in support and/or expansion of current utilization of therapies and execution of mutual interest initiatives such as research and continuing medical education (CME). 
-Identifies, develops and manages KOL relationships on a continuum of advocacy in support of company objectives and enhancing CSLs reputation as a scientifically-innovative industry partner. 
-Maintains a level of medical-scientific knowledge in an assigned therapeutic area(s) and/or disease state(s) involving clinical issues related to CSL Behrings products. Remains current to be able to interpret and convey pertinent scientific data and evaluate new information. 
-Facilitates the intake of unsolicited investigator-initiated research (IIR) and works with Medical Therapeutic Area Leader ensuring where appropriate these ideas are turned into feasible and meaningful protocols, providing medical-scientific data to expand areas of product use. 
-Manages, monitors, and communicates IIR study activity to meet established budgets and timelines. Contributes expertise in the internal review of study data, facilitates publication opportunities, and executes tactical plans. 
-Contributes to periodic updates of Frequently Asked Question (FAQs) and responses to standard response letters (SRL) in a fair and balanced manner. 
-Tactical delivery of programs according to established objectives and serves as a resource for education and dissemination of pertinent, clear, and balanced medical-scientific information to internal audiences (Marketing, National Accounts, Reimbursement, Medical Affairs, Pharmacovigilance, Research & Development and Sales) and external audiences (healthcare professionals, consumers, patient organizations, distributors, etc.).         
Doctoral level degree in a Medical and or scientific field (MD, DO or equivalent, PharmD, or PhD) required.  
Minimum of 3-5 years in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry required.  Prior experience in providing MSL-level support to products or devices in specific therapeutic areas, including KOL development, investigator-initiated clinical trials, publications and educational programs highly preferred. 
MSL and/or strong clinical and research experience in assigned therapeutic area highly preferred.
