Position Description

 

You will be one of the key drivers in developing QIAGEN software products for NGS biomedical research. Based on market requirements provided from the Product Manager, you will be responsible for designing, specifying, testing and evaluating bioinformatics software products for supporting NGS data analysis in medical labs. You will be part of a product team consisting of software developers, bioinformatics scientists, user experience specialists, and a project manager. Your role will be to make sure that the product being developed is addressing the customer needs in the best way, offering analysis capabilities as well as a superior user experience. You will be responsible for detailing the design and specification of the product and validating designs through user tests and reviews.

 

As an international Company QIAGEN Bioinformatics has offices around the world and our products are sold worldwide. Therefore, we expect from you very good cultural and communication skills, high team spirit and some level of flexibility in regards of meeting times and traveling. You will work from the Danish office in Aarhus.

Requirements

Position Requirements

 

PhD in Molecular Pathology, Genetics or Molecular Biology

 

Experience analyzing NGS data

 

Very good understanding of the major NGS applications in the biomedical research field

 

Experienced super user or developer of bioinformatics software for NGS data

 

Experience with software development is an advantage

Personal Requirements

 

Flair for business and commercialization

 

Drive to explore, find solutions and achieve results as a team

 

Fluent in English, with excellent written and oral communication skills

 

Appropriate documentation to confirm eligibility to work in Denmark

 

Interest in technical aspects of bioinformatics software
