Job Description
  • Creates and processes transfer orders via the ERP system. Fulfills transfer orders from various departments and delivers these materials appropriately.

  • Receives materials from suppliers, labels them, and moves them to the appropriate department or location in a timely manner.

  • Controls the access and movement of Quarantined, Approved and Sequestered materials.

  • Maintains the product inventory via documentation, physical counts, and storage organization.

  • Maintains a clean, organized, and stocked work area to facilitate efficient execution of job functions.

  • Monitors the temperature controlled locations of Shipping and Receiving.

  • Completes purchasing specification documentation for applicable received materials.

  • Works with the Purchasing department in the maintenance of the general inventory, adjusting the PAR and Max inventory levels as consumption rates change.

  • Performs preventative maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.

  • Manufactures assays kits, shippers, and related items required for IVS to maintain Operations.

  • Maintains all equipment in Shipping/Receiving areas.

  • Creates, implements, and maintains Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for the Shipping and Receiving department.

  • Creates, implements, and maintains Purchasing Specification documents, ensuring requirements for proper receipts are met.

  • Creates, implements and maintains appropriate Receiving labels, ensuring SOP requirements are met.

  • Provides support to other departments as needed.

  • Maintains the security of the building at the main entrance and shipping doors during business hours.  Admits authorized suppliers to the building in accordance with controlled procedures.

  • Cooperates and respectfully communicates with external and internal customers.

  • Other duties, as assigned.

  • Skills /  Knowledge / Abilities

    • Basic Outlook, Word and Excel and ability to work with computer and other electronic equipment is required.

    • Experience working with inventory and quality software is beneficial.

    • Demonstrated attention to detail.

    • Ability to follow Standardized Operating Procedures (SOPs).

    • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

    • Excellent communication skills.

    • Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities.

    • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.

  • Education and Experience

  • Knowledge and skills normally acquired through the successful completion of a High School is required.

  • Experience in a regulated industry or equivalent combination of education and experience is beneficial.
