Job Description

You are a marketing specialist obsessed with creating the best campaigns from the ground up. Perhaps you feel stuck in a job where your creative force is going to waste, or you are just ready for something new. Here is your chance to not only have a huge impact on our marketing program, but to help define marketing in the explosive genomics industry.

DNAnexus is a cloud based platform that combines cloud computing and bioinformatics to create a global network for genomics. Our platform provides security, scalability, and collaboration for enterprises and organizations that are pursuing genomic-based approaches to health in order to accelerate medical discovery. Headquartered in Mountain View, CA, our company is supporting customers around the world that are tackling some of the most challenging and exciting opportunities in human health and more.

In this role you will have a chance to reinvent genomics marketing (how’s that for impact?) and develop an engaging community around DNAnexus. The role will entail combining creative cutting-edge ideas along with best practices for social media, web development, and trade shows to drive the marketing strategy for DNAnexus. You will bring your marketing expertise and creative insight to our growing company and in return you’ll have an amazing career development runway from which to launch yourself.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic team player who is ready to do the best work of their lives. Throughout your 3+ year journey in marketing, you have gained valuable expertise in social media and email marketing using tools such as MailChimp and Hootsuite. Planning/owning all aspects of a trade show is a no brainer, tracking marketing metrics using Google Analytics or Marketo is second nature, and we all know that updating blog posts is what you live for. We are primarily interested in your creative genius and experience in the genomics world (whether academic or industry), so even if you think you are bit light on experience, do not let the job description deter you from applying.

As if being part of one of the top genomics companies isn’t enough? Here at DNAnexus, we have an office located in the heart of downtown San Francisco with easy BART/Caltrain access (3rd & Market). Of course we also offer outstanding benefits and free food - who doesn't these days? We have something we value much more than those things and we hope you do to. We have an amazing collaborative team and culture and most importantly, a product that we all believe in. For us that is the best perk of all.

Deploy your talents at the intersections of two of the biggest megatrends that will happen in our lifetimes, and help us change the face of genomic marketing. Apply now!
