Job Description

NAViCAN is seeking an experienced marketing leader to set the strategy and drive execution of upstream and downstream marketing for our developing portfolio of offerings aiming to change the way late stage cancer is treated. The role will have the responsibility for developing strategic marketing plans, planning and driving commercial launch activities, product positioning, pricing, and brand creation. The successful candidate must be a high energy, analytical, hard-working team player with an entrepreneurial spirit, who knows and can apply best practice frameworks, processes and methods while being hands-on, and highly ethical.Primary Responsibilities and Essential Duties

  • Assess new opportunities, define new products, develop strategic marketing plans, understand competitive landscape, and lead products through their entire life cycle
  • Develop global strategic goals and commercialization strategy for growing portfolio
  • Collaborate with other members of the marketing, sales, and scientific/clinical teams to define product opportunities and requirements
  • Lead efforts to gain an in-depth understanding of the market potential and the drivers and barriers for product opportunities through market research
  • Build channel assessment, strategy and buildout
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives that include R&D, clinical, regulatory, business development and senior leadership
  • Direct worldwide market analysis to identify market challenges, scientific study, market access, and registration requirements for development of product profiles and differentiated value proposition
  • Research and distill market analytics, including market drivers, market sizing to inform strategy and decision making
  • Develop pricing strategy and drive relationship development with all players in the market ecosystem
  • Drive development of Navican brand through traditional, on-line, and social media channels
  • Plan NAViCAN’s presence at medical meetings, conferences, and other major events

  

 

Requirements

Education and Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; MBA or advanced Life Sciences degree is preferred
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in product management and marketing. Experience in molecular diagnostics and/or oncology, pharmaceutical, or other disruptive market segments.
  • Solve ambiguous problems – ability to operate both strategically and tactically translating complex problems into solutions
  • Proven ability to collaborate and work cross-functionally to drive results in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience developing marketing materials for healthcare professionals and/or patients
  • Strong understanding of legal and regulatory environment in diagnostics and pharma
  • Experience with HIPAA, CLIA/CAP and/or FDA regulations preferred
  • Laboratory and/or Next Generation Sequencing experience preferred
  • Experience solving ambiguous problems – ability to operate both strategically and tactically translating complex problems into solutions
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving skills required
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform under pressure
  • 25% travel required
  • Position based in San Diego
