Job Description

We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic individuals to join our Twist Bioscience Operations Team in  South San Francisco. The Manufacturing Technician will assure our materials needed in our facility are cleaned and maintained for use on the production floor.


The ideal candidate will be driven and will do what it takes to keep manufacturing on track in a fast paced  environment.  

 include but are not limited to 

  • Maintain and inventory clean glassware and plastics for the manufacturing floor.  Daily pickup of utilized glassware and plastics from labs for washing, sterilization and storage
  • Stocking  and organizing cleaned materials for the manufacturing floor
  • Maintain inventory of cleaned glass/plastic ware in locations throughout the facility
  • Maintain required supplies for  washing and sterilization operations
  • Follow all SOP guidelines as required
  • Operation of glassware washers, autoclaves, and other cleaning systems
  • Perform inspection of glass/plastic ware  for cracks, breaks, and scratches contacting the Supervisor/Leads with updates and issues
  • Interact daily with scientific staff
  • Maintain good house keeping and clean work areas
  • Must possess a High School Diploma 
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively
  • Must be able to use computers (Outlook, Excel, Word) and use of barcode scanners for data entry  
  • Must be Detail oriented, promotes team environment.
  • Team based laboratory environment.
  • Working in controlled laboratory environment
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time while performing duties.
  • Must be able to work safely with chemicals and hazardous materials.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Must be able to work outside of regular work hours/ work a flexible shift as needed

This is a day shift position M-F 9-5
