About Our Organization

An extension of the Department of Genetics and Genomic Sciences and the Institute of Multiscale Biology in the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, our state of the art next generation sequencing facility utilizes a variety of cutting edge, high throughput technologies. Our laboratory will generate huge amounts of sequencing data whose interpretation has the potential to change the face of how medicine is practiced. We will participate in large sequencing projects and analyze large numbers of individuals to gain a better understanding of the biology of cancer and inherited diseases. One of our initial focal points will be The Resilience Project where tens of thousands of DNA samples from healthy adults will be sequenced and analyzed for the presence of rare genetic variants that were expected to cause severe illness in these individuals during childhood.

We are looking for team members to join our dynamic, rapidly growing team who can help accelerate our growth and contribute to improving the accuracy of diagnoses, use of therapeutic agents, and achieve optimal patient outcomes. We seek all levels of laboratory and scientific personnel, informatics experts, accessioners, quality management specialists and professionals to fill a variety of important support functions.
