Full Time LIMS/Software Engineer/Bioinformatics Support (or Internship)

Viome is looking for an intern or full-time software engineer/LIMS/Bioinformatics/IT support person for its office in Mountain View, CA


  • ●  Perform programming for LIMS

  • ●  Perform programming for automated liquid handling systems

  • ●  Run existing bioinformatics pipelines in AWS

  • ●  Perform and refine all data QC steps

  • ●  Help develop bioinformatics pipelines for analysis of genomic and mass spec data

  • ●  Maintain and update personal computers for coworkers

  • Qualifications:

  • ●  Experience coding with Python (preferred) or Perl

  • ●  Experience working with SQL (Postgres, etc)

  • ●  BS or MS in a laboratory science (bioinformatics, biology, chemistry, biochemistry, computer

    science...) or relevant experience

  • ●  Excellent communication skills

  • ●  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • ●  Excellent attention to detail

  • Desired Experience:

  • ●  Knowledge of LIMS

  • ●  Hands-on experience with NGS and LC/MS technologies

  • ●  Developed bioinformatics pipelines in Python and Perl

  • ●  Experience programing automated liquid handling robotics systems
