Job Description
  • ** This position is nationwide **

  • Achieve sales goals, as established by Management.

  • Maintain a high level of technical competence for effective market penetration

  • Increase revenue from existing products by effectively competing against strong competitors in Life Science Research and In vitro Diagnostics market.

  • Establish and grow network with principal investigators in translational research, pharmaceutical companies, in vitro diagnostics companies, and/or Biotech

  • Manage customer accounts; communicate all customer issues and requirements throughout the organization through call reports, periodic status reports, customer complaints, product usage forecasts and other written reports as management requires.

  • Provide customer support pre- and post-sales to ensure customer satisfaction of all accounts

  • Monitor the market for new opportunities or competitive threats to existing business.

  • Build a professional presence for the company at trade shows and customer sites.

  • Ability to travel 30-40%

  • Bring customer’s demands into R&D and/or Marketing for new products and application development (new business opportunity) of existing products

  • Monitor inventory levels and work with logistics teams to ensure optimum operational efficiency

  • Support Accounting in collection of delinquent customer payments.

  • Lead internal training seminars.

  • Other duties as may be assigned. 

Requirements

EDUCATION

B.S. degree in Biology, an M.B.A., M.S or PhD. is a plus, or equivalent work experience.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • More than 5 year experience in Technical Sales of materials, assay methods, and reagents for life sciences tools

  • Experience in growing new markets in life sciences by promoting and launching new product lines

  • Demonstrated experience in identifying new accounts, closing sales deals and generating new revenue from these accounts

  • Experience in nurturing relationships and increasing revenue within existing customer base

  • Experience in communicating key customer needs to marketing and R&D functions within the organization

  • Experience in interacting with principal investigators in pharmaceutical companies, in vitro diagnostics companies, and/or Biotech

  • Existing network of customers in liquid biopsy research, exosomes or extracellular vesicles research, is a plus

  • Strong oral and written communications skills – experience in public speaking at meeting and customer sites

  • Strong network of customers in the area of liquid biopsy and oncology/ immunology translational research is a plus

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
