We currently have an opening for a Lab Tech in our Tissue Testing group.
Under the direction of senior staff, the Lab Tech performs duties related to cell and tissue culture and analysis per established protocols.
Lab Technician Responsibilities:
•Cultures and performs compound dosing of cells and bioprinted tissues.
•Conducts biochemical assays (ELISA, qPCR) to evaluate effects of modulators on bioprinted tissue constructs, and histology (fixation, embedding, sectioning, staining, and imaging).
•Prepares detailed SOPs that enable transfer of techniques
•Performs detailed recordkeeping of experimental steps and results
•Prepares reports of results for submittal to supervisor and internal group meetings
•Other Duties as assigned.
Lab Technician Skills & Experience:
•A.A., B.A. or B.S. in biology, physiology, molecular and cellular biology, microbiology, or closely related field
•6+ months of work in an industrial setting required.
•Previous experience with mammalian tissue culture, and either ELISA, qPCR, or histology required.
•Ability to work collaboratively within a team to meet strict deadlines.
•Ability to follow protocols / standard operating procedures (SOPs) without deviation
•Able to accurately report work in laboratory notebooks and present results of work in departmental meetings.
•Detail and task oriented
•Ability to keep calm under pressure
•Weekend work will be required
