Job Description


Synthego is searching for a Lab Technician to join our team and help create the world’s first fully automated cloud-enabled molecular biology lab.


Location: Redwood City, CA (applicants local to the Bay Area only)




  • Prepare chemical solutions and perform appropriate cleaning and discarding of waste reagents
  • Perform daily housekeeping of laboratory area including fume hoods, bench tops, manufacturing equipment, etc
  • Maintain lab inventory, restocking and ordering through company personnel as required
  • Maintain close adherence to established operating procedure
  • Communicate with production team members to identify and report any potential hazards or unsafe conditions
  • Perform other related duties as required and/or assigned




  • Minimum 7 years experience in a lab
  • AA degree preferred
  • Use of computers to perform daily tasks
  • Ability to use analytical lab equipment reliably and repeatedly
  • Time management skills to work on multiple project simultaneously
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Teamwork, patience and attention to detail a must
