Job Description

The Laboratory Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Reagents Production Laboratory under the general direction of the Vice President of Operations. The Manager is accountable for operational success. This includes supervising technical personnel, ensuring operations are performed as documented, personnel are properly trained, compliance is maintained, and improvements are identified and implemented as required. The Manager must establish and monitor key operational metrics ensuring accurate and precise reporting of results.


We are looking for a leader who will be successful in working with key stakeholders throughout the organization. They must be able to work well independently and within cross-functional teams and have well-developed written, verbal, and presentation skills.

We are looking for a leader with prior experience in FDA regulated reagents production, including the development, staffing and equipping of an FDA regulated laboratory environment. Prior experience in a CLIA/CAP regulated environment is also a plus.

Must have at least 5 years management experience with at least 2 of these under FDA regulations. Highly desired to have experience in producing high quality reagents for molecular biology products.

Meets one of the following minimum education requirements:

Doctorate (Ph.D., M.D. or D.O.) in medicine, clinical laboratory science, chemical, physical or biological science or engineering and 2 years of relevant experience, or

Master’s in clinical laboratory science, chemical, physical or biological science or engineering with 3 years of relevant experience, or

Bachelor’s in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory/medical technology science or engineering, with 4 years of clinical laboratory experience.
