Lucigen, now a part of LGC Genomics, is looking for an Inside Sales Manager to join our dynamic and rapidly expanding team. The Manager will play a lead role in supporting the entire sales organization by implementing programs and managing the entire customer buying journey and supporting efforts. This individual will lead customer-focused efforts and programs in collaboration with an energetic team of field sales and business development professionals to create and drive Lucigen’s sales opportunities in targeted regions and/or accounts. The Manager is expected to foster a strong customer-focused culture that complies with all laws, regulations, policies, and procedures that govern our business globally.
The Inside Sales Manager will have responsibility for providing direction and focus to meet or exceed the LGC Genomics business unit objectives as follows:
Collaborative Leadership
- Contribute actively to commercial & marketing initiatives/opportunities, especially those initiatives focused on driving incremental business growth
- Design, implement, and manage processes that allow the team to effectively cover both inbound and outbound calls; activities include engaging with existing customers and inbound qualified sales leads, guiding customers to the products that best meet needs, and coordinating with internal team to address customer questions or objections
- Ensure the effective use of sales process and approved product marketing and promotion materials
- Work closely with internal departments (i.e. Operations, Customer Service, etc.) to coordinate on key initiatives in support of the customer and to achieve superior customer satisfaction
- In partnership with Marketing, support initiatives for social selling and outbound projects including but not limited to LinkedIn, e-blasts, web conferences, tradeshows and conferences participation; may attend tradeshows and conferences as required from time to time
- Work with VP, Marketing & Sales on customer-focused initiatives to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the inside sales team
Analytical Aptitude
- Monitor and report key business metrics or other sales reporting that may be requested; analyze statistics or other data to determine the level of goal achievement
- Capture voice-of-customer and share with appropriate stakeholders (Marketing, R&D, Sales, etc.); establish and maintain ongoing communication and team operating mechanisms to ensure appropriate information (customer insights, market trends, and competitive data) is shared and collaboration within and outside of the team is taking place
- Provide general intelligence on key competitors
- Participate in proposal scope development as appropriate
Relationship Management
- Work closely and in collaboration with Field Sales and the business-to-business (B2B) team to enhance working relationships with key accounts and to assist in profiling accounts, generating and qualifying leads, and meeting sales objectives
- Establish and maintain strong, positive, productive relationships with customers, including management and supply contacts; nurture and grow client relationships at the appropriate levels
- Responsible for opportunity management using CRM to document customer information and track opportunities; assign tasks to inside sales team as applicable
- Leverage marketing resources, such as flyers, posters, application notes, and other applicable materials, to heighten customer’s awareness of Lucigen’s products and services
- Organize and host client visits as required
