Job Description

Job Purpose: The Inside Sales Account Manager is responsible for day-to-day sales operations for LGC Clinical Diagnostics Division within a specifically defined territory. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop consultative relationships with new and existing account base that perform calibration verification testing.
  • Achieves assigned monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals.
  • Maintain thorough understanding of proper ordering patterns for existing and new customers.
  • Coordinates sales effort with marketing, sales management, customer service, accounting, logistics and technical support groups.
  • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis.
  • Update and maintain current Customer Relations Management database.
  • Continue education on product advantages to ensure customer loyalty.
  • Promote hospital network initiatives to comply with company goals.
  • Completes strategic customer account plans that meet company standards.
  • Develops him/herself to be the trusted advisor to our customers.
  • Maintains high customer satisfaction that meets company standards.
  • Completes required training and development objectives within the assigned time frame.
  • Able to represent LGC Clinical Diagnostics Division at National Trade Show individually if necessary.

  • Working knowledge of Clinical Laboratory testing including supporting technology

  • Must enjoy problem solving in a position with heavy phone and computer time. 
  • Must be a continuous learner, always seeking opportunities to improve effectiveness of processes and tactics

 Education and/or Experience

  • BA/BS degree in Chemistry, Business or related field.
  • Highly effective oral and written communication skills
  • 3 - 5 Years Direct Technical Sales experience in (Clinical Diagnostic Laboratory experience preferred)
  • Ability to work in a cross functional matrix environment. 
  • CRM Experience a must (Salesforce.com preferred)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
