Job Description

This dynamic, fast-paced Sr. HR Generalist role will interact with employees at all levels, and will have responsibility for a wide range of generalist functions, including policy and procedure management, training and development and setting the team up for growth and success. A true hands-on approach as well as the ability to successfully monitor the "pulse" of employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement. This position will lead in delivering the full spectrum of human resource generalist and organizational development support to meet current and future needs of the business by working in close collaboration with the leadership team, line management, and Head of HR, as well as continue to grow the organization with key talent.

•         Ensuring organizational conformation with applicable HR related regulations and statutes as well as organizational procedures and policies.

•         Overseeing processing of all other new hires and processing all full-time new employees, new hire paperwork, letters, benefits etc.

•         Identifying, evaluating, and resolving human relations, employee morale, work performance, and organizational productivity concerns.

•         Ensuring job descriptions for every employee position are up-to-date and accurate.

•         Assist in creating employee training and organizational development programs.

•         Assist managers with performance reviews and monitoring employee attitudes, productivity, and performance outcomes.

•         Recruiting and retaining top quality employees for each department and conducting interviews.

•         Perform recruitment, interview process, orientation for new hiring staff.

•         Assist with the maintenance of compensation via performance management.

•         Process termination review and guidance.

•         Conduct educational programs for employees.

•         Assist with managing employee handbook updates.

•         Managing workers compensation claims.

•         Helping employees during open enrollment.

•         Auditing open enrollment changes ensuring accuracy with insurance carriers, bills, payroll and employees selections.

•         Coordinating leaves with employees, payroll, and short-term disability.

•         Processing all employee terminations, including exit interviews, cobra assistance, benefit terms, and other paperwork.

•         Answering employee questions regarding policies, benefits and procedures, etc.

•         Assist with the communication of changes in the handbook, and information about employee events.

•         Ensuring compliance with all state, federal and local employment laws.

•         Other duties and responsibilities assigned.

 

Qualifications

  •      Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent work experience required

•       Minimum of 7+ years heavy experience in an HR Generalist position with specific emphasis on Employee Relations or Talent Management. Solid knowledge of Federal Employment and Labor Law a must; specific knowledge of California Employment and Labor Law preferred. Experience in other HR areas such as Recruiting, Compensation, Development, Engagement and Retention is preferred

•       Strong HRMS skills (ADP Workforce Now, Workday, PeopleSoft, Paychex, etc.) a plus

•       Professional or Senior Professional designation a plus

•       Strong customer service experience in a team environment

•       Ability to work with all levels of management

•       Project management skills and experience managing multiple projects

•       Proficient in the design and delivery of presentations

•       Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and demonstrated ability to learn other applications as needed
