At Recursion, our mission is to leverage automated biology and computational methods to accelerate the discovery of therapeutics for patients with one of thousands of diseases. What you'll do:

Our approach to scalable, high-throughput biology allows us to rapidly find potential treatments for many diseases at a rate upwards of one disease per month. As an HTS associate, you'll work with a cross-functional team of data scientists, innovation scientists, and automation scientists. You will play a critical role in the implementation and execution of thousands of high content screens per year, using our automated platform to identify drug candidates for numerous diseases at an unprecedented rate.

 

You should be well-versed in basic molecular and cellular biology techniques, as well as interacting with computer-controlled automated laboratory instrumentation to conduct experiments in 384 and 1536-well plates, with a proven track record of implementing large-scale laboratory procedures. You should expect to be working on a couple projects at the same time, and since we’re on the cutting edge of science, you should expect a fast-paced and exciting environment.

 

Requirements

What you need:

  • A Bachelor degree or similar in a biological field.
  • Proficiency and experience in molecular and cellular biology concepts and assays
  • Experience working with automated computer-controlled laboratory instrumentation and software
  • A demonstrated track record of executing large-scale experiments with minimal supervision
  • A solid understanding of experimental design and statistics
  • A passion for working in a fast-paced start-up culture where you’ll leverage creativity and independent thinking to find answers wherever you can.
