Scope of the Job:
This key position is nationally based and will report to the Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations. Your primary responsibility will be to direct, build, and develop the Companion Diagnostic business. This includes but is not limited to developing and implementing a strategic plan that delivers new Companion partnership resulting in increased shareholder value.
You will build and nurture relationships with Pharmaceutical and IVD partners that enable identification and execution of value-creating Pharma/Dx partnered R&D services and CDx opportunities.
You will develop and implement a short, medium and long term strategic plan that delivers new Custom & Companion partnerships, builds the funnel of opportunities and delivers shareholder value through capability and contracted business growth.
You will lead a portfolio of partnerships, projects and product development agreements from concept to commercialization, including activities related to development, approval and commercial transfer to the Dx sales team.
You will be fully responsible for successful execution of projects and contracts within the Custom & Companion Dx space.
You will lead/maintain a highly-effective cross-functional business development team.
You will facilitate team problem solving, decision making and alignment in relation to opportunity selection, contract development and commercialization strategy.
Provide strategic direction to the development and operation of the CLIA lab to ensure readiness and awareness of critical project opportunities.
You will lead and develop a group of team members through appraisal, coaching, and mentoring. The incumbent will identify high potential employees and develop a succession plan.
The perfect candidate will work effectively in a highly collaborative manner through a matrixed organizational environment.
You will participate in internal business strategy development to ensure alignment of business lines to identify opportunities and gaps where C&CDx business can advance the portfolio through partnerships.
