Job Description

We are currently seeking a Field Sales Manager, Commercial Development to join our team! The Field Sales Manager will work closely with Aldevron's commercial and operational teams to implement a defined sales and business development process to grow Aldevron's service platform sales. This position will build strategic relationships with leads and clients by understanding their technical requirements and matching with Aldevron's products or services.

About the Role:

  • Identify and prospect new business opportunities for research grade services and establish new relationships with biotech, pharma, academic and government organizations
  • Expand business with existing clients in support of ongoing and future programs 
  • Interact with leads and clients over the phone and in person to understand requirements for biologic production related services
  • Deliver scientific presentations on Aldevron's complete set of products and services
  • Work closely with Aldevron's inside support teams to continue refining the sales and business development process
  • Consistently meet or exceed quarterly key performance metrics and goals
  • Conduct performance analysis to adjust strategies and execution as necessary
  • Understand clients' visions, strategies, and organizational structure
  • Execute a successful project hand-off to Client Relations and/or Project Management teams
  • Communicate client feedback to Operations regarding new service opportunities and updates to current products

About You:

  • Minimum of 5 years in a client-facing or sales role
  • Minimum B.S. in a Scientific degree required, preferably molecular biology, biology, biochemistry, or biotechnology
  • Broad scientific and technical expertise in the field of immunology, cell biology, and molecular biology, with a clear scientific understanding of nucleic acids
