Job Description

We are seeking qualified individuals to join the GMP team as BioManufacturing Operators, supporting Upstream or Downstream workflows.  The BioManufacturing Operator will work daily within Aldevron's labs performing tasks associated with Aldevron's GMP services. The BioManufacturing Operator is expected to become familiar with all of Aldevron's products and to be able to perform most tasks associated with the purification of plasmid DNA.

About the Role:

As a BioManufacturing Operator, you will be responsible executing GMP projects with either upstream or downstream tasks.  Your duties will include segregation, line clearance, and cleaning of GMP production areas.  You will plan and submit inventory requisitions, and plan and prepare for production events by coordinating with bugger preparation operators and by processing plan memos.  You will complete all documentation associated with GMP projects.  You will participate internal audits, coordinate sample submissions with QC, and assist with other duties as assigned.

Requirements

About You:

  • 4 years of related experience, or an established level of proficiency and demonstrated core competency
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to follow written procedures and directions, keep records, and maintain files
  • Apply basic math (arithmetic, ratios, proportions and conversions)
  • Good knowledge of computers and programs, like Microsoft Office and Smartsheets

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Biotech) preferred
