Job Description

BioDiscovery is expanding its European office and is seeking an experienced Genomics Software Sales Manager for its innovative software products. The Genomics Software Sales Manager will be responsible for implementing the sales and marketing plan for BioDiscovery software products, and ensure achievement of sales objectives. The Genomics Software Sales Manager will organize strategic and operational sales activities and provide regular reports on opportunities, accounts and prospects. The ideal candidate will have a proven record of consultative solution selling of software to researchers, scientists, clinical lab directors, and senior managers in the life sciences. Key responsibilities: - Responsible for achieving the sales objectives within region - Effectively prospect new customer leads and develop and strengthen the existing client portfolio - Build strong relationships on a high level with research centers, clinical labs, hospitals, universities and life science companies - Build comprehensive knowledge of prospects, competition and market - Deliver sales presentations including conducting technical software demonstrations, shape sales meetings and participate in all sales activities - Negotiate sale of software subscriptions - Communicate sales activities to management - Maintain accurate and timely information in the CRM system - Participate in trade-shows and make presentations at conferences


- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in life sciences (bioinformatics, genomics, biotechnology, biology). Master’s or PhD degree preferred. - 5-year sales experience with a track record of reaching sales targets. - Previous experience as Field Applications Specialists is a strong plus - Demonstrated commercial and sales closing skills. - Solid scientific background in microarray and NGS data analysis. - Strong written and oral communication skills in English and in either French, German, Dutch, or other major European language. - Demonstrated team player. Solid organizational and prioritization skills. Business travel is required and may occasionally include weekends. Ideally, this position is located in the United Kingdom, but other locations in Western Europe will be considered.
