Job Description

UK Healthcare is seeking an individual with knowledge of molecular biology, genetic testing for heritable disorders and cancer and knowledge of high-throughput sequencing and data analysis to manage the Molecular and newly created Genomics Core laboratories.

This individual will plan,oversee, and help develop new clinical genomics assays. This position must have the ability to analyze genome and related sequencing data, and will oversee specimen processing, data analysis and curation, data storage, report generation, EMR integration, regulatory compliance, and quality management.

This position will work with an engaged, friendly and collaborative team composed of technologists, bioinformaticians, genetic counselors, and laboratory medical directors. This individual will report to the Director of Cell and Molecular Laboratory Operations and will supervise the work of personnel engaged in the molecular diagnostics area.


BS with 5 years experience

Experience in molecular genetics. Possesses ability to organize/prioritize work assignments and work independently.
