    • Designs, codes, and modifies web-based applications
    • Works with UX designer to maintain and develop common look-and-feel for applications
    • Troubleshoots issues and performs analysis to identify root causes
    • Takes responsibility for meeting established Service Level Agreements
    • Assists with application installations and configurations
    • May assist with some backend service development as experience permits
    • Participates in:
    • Deployment process (both during and after regular work hours)
    • Monthly maintenance weekends performed by IT
    • Informatics Systems Development Life Cycle process

    • Ideal candidates will have a bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) plus at least 5 years of professional experience
    • Strong JavaScript experience with experience in one or more common JS frameworks
    • In-depth knowledge of modern HTML/CSS
    • A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices
    • Adequate knowledge of REST services and JSON
    • Excellent analytical abilities and problem solving skills
    • Demonstrates working knowledge of scientific principles, software language, and computer systems
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Positive attitude, ethics, and values
    • Organized, self-motivated, goal-oriented
    • Values-based personality with the ability to work selflessly in a team environment
    • Ability to maintain positive and healthy relationships with all project team members and customers



    • Detail oriented with attention to process
    • Familiarity with UX Design concepts and practices
    • Knowledge of RDBMS and SQL statements
    • Some experience with Java and Object-Oriented programming a plus
    • Understanding of agile software development lifecycle and process methodologies
    • Software testing experience
    • Life-science or healthcare industry experience
