Job Description

EMEA Sales Manager

Location: All of Germany

Job Objective: 

Responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities in the EMEA region. Staffs and directs a sales team and provides leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and values. Establishes plans and strategies to expand the customer base in the sales region and contributes to the development of training and educational programs for clients and account managers. 

Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for sales management in direct markets Germany, France, UK, and Spain
  • Responsible for the performance and development of the local account managers
  • Initiates and coordinates development of action plans to penetrate new markets Responsibility for revenue and placement targets in sales territory (PCR and NGS)
  • Ensuring the recruitment and management of relevant key opinion leaders Strategic set up of relevant markets, including recruitment and management of sales staff
  • Assists in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed Liaison with Vela marketing and support department
  • Execution of global and local sales campaigns according to campaign plan Responsibility for the development and maintenance of customer segmentation and customer relationship management activities incl. SFDC and funnel management 
  • Ensuring the participation and execution of relevant tenders in the territory
  • Provision of accurate product forecasting in territory 
  • Execution of Vela pricing strategy in territory
  • Ensuring execution of Vela policies and guidelines incl. expense policy and travel policy a
  • Ensuring that personal conduct of employees is in line with IVD guidelines Maintains accurate records of all pricings, sales, and activity reports submitted by account managers
  • Assists account managers in preparation of proposals and presentations Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines
  • Conducts regular coaching and counselling with account managers to build motivation and selling skills
  • Maintains contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfactionPrepare product demand and mid-term forecast in coordination with sales team

 

Requirements

 

  • At least 5-7 years of experience in sales management in the healthcare sector Knowledge of laboratory processes and especially molecular diagnostic procedures and requirements
  • Experience with CRM software solutions and large, complex organizations Extensive experience in all aspects of Supplier Relationship Management Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics, market segmentation and requirements 
  • Willingness to travel and work in a global team of professionals
  • Excellent language skills in English and German, additional languages will be an asset
