Job Description

 • Lead cross-functional teams to achieve business operations goals. Manage relationships with strategic vendors and service providers (coordinating with Procurement, Finance, and Legal) conducting significant business with the Regeneron Genetics Center (RGC) and providing key services and products. Provide project leadership and single point of contact for internal and external teams facilitating approvals, contracting, and other processes. • Lead RGC financial planning efforts, liaising with R&D Finance, to inform scientific, business, and operational decisions facing the RGC and Regeneron senior management. Prepare and maintain, with support from R&D Finance, (1) project specific budgets, (2) collaboration expenses, and other (3) financial modeling/projections that may be required for business operations and strategic planning. • Work with business development in sourcing and negotiating collaborations. Manage relationships with tech transfer and business development counterparts. Coordinate Business Development and Legal efforts and facilitate the preparation and execution of legal documents (such as CDAs, MTAs, ITAs, and draft research collaboration agreements). Help lead RGC negotiations towards definitive agreements. • Maintain business continuity plans and institutionalize best practices and policies. Support RGC departments in the evaluation and procurement of new technologies, services, and products. Ensure that all business operations needs (capital, reagents, IT, facilities, etc.) are monitored and fulfilled in time for business/department needs.


• MD or PhD preferred. Background in genomics preferred. • MBA, with concentration in finance or operations, or equivalent work experience. • 8+ years of experience in operations, business development, corporate finance, consulting/strategy, or related role.
• Minimum of eight years experience with increasing responsibility in the healthcare and biopharmaceutical industries. • MBA or equivalent training/experience in corporate finance, business development or technology transfer, or healthcare investing. Demonstrated track record in business development and alliance management with experience structuring, negotiating, and implementing complex agreements. • Strategic thinker with deep understanding of the biopharmaceutical discovery and development process, and the strategic issues facing the RGC. Sufficient knowledge of or desire to learn about all stages of RGC activities, including next-generation sequencing and analysis in order to manage day-to-day issues.
